THE ONE QUESTION!

   Hopefully, we are all in the process of becoming wise, committed to bringing spirituality into our daily lives. Perhaps we are realizing the importance of becoming authentic human beings whose personality is truly in alignment with our spiritual nature or soul.  Joel Goldsmith in his book, The Infinite Way, wrote: “Higher than the plane of body and mind there is the realm of soul, the kingdom of God. In the realm of soul, we find complete tranquility, absolute peace, harmony and dominion. Here we find the reality of our being, our divine nature.”

How We See the World

   How do we move into this higher paradigm? First, we might question how we view the world. Each of us sees the world through our belief systems, our conceptual framework. We have developed a paradigm that interprets the world in a certain way. We assume that the way we see things is the way they are. We don’t question the accuracy of what we see through our perceptual filters because we’re usually unaware of their existence. We only become aware of them when we face perceptions that are different from our own. The question we might ask ourselves is, “are external things the way they appear to be, or am I creating reality based on my assumptions?”

The God Force

   Stuart Wilde in his book, The Infinite Self, suggests that one way to effectively move into a more expansive life experience, and see life in a greater way, is to learn to connect with what he calls “the God Force.”  He suggests we come to accept the God Force within us as a spiritual feeling. He writes, “Through this simple process, you connect yourself to the All-knowing, entering a mysterious and wonderful world that is usually beyond the ego’s perception of life. This internalizing of the God Force can feel awkward, as we are brought up in what is either a godless intellectual world, or we are taught to see God as a force outside ourselves.”

   He goes on to say, “If you currently have a concept of a God outside yourself, then, mentally bring God back home – allow Its enormous power back into your heart. And even though you may not feel the infinity of the God Force within as yet, at least you can imagine it there – visualize it there.”

Are You Ready and Willing?

   To recognize and experience this Power is to experience authentic power, to be an authentic human being who enjoys the fullness of life in every way. The question now is, “are you ready to engage in the creation of authentic power?” Doing this work makes you confront the unhealthiest parts of yourself – the parts that criticize, blame, judge, resent, or are prone to anger. To move into a higher paradigm in life demands that you discover and change those parts of yourself – the parts that block the Light. Are you willing to ‘pay this price’ to become more conscious? Are you willing to engage this evolutionary process? That’s the only question.

   Alan Watts writes, “The question of how to experience enlightenment is not primarily a matter of, ‘what should I be doing in the future to get it, but rather, what am I presently doing that prevents me from realizing it right now?’ ”
